Each year Giving Tuesday starts the Tuesday after Thanksgiving kicking off the charitable season. In honor of Giving Tuesday, HMG+ has donated to the following organizations:

 

Jericho Project

The Jericho Project is a nationally-acclaimed nonprofit ending homelessness at its roots by enabling formerly homeless or at-risk individuals and families to lead independent lives. For over 33 years it’s supportive housing and comprehensive services have advanced employment, wellness, and family stability which enabled thousands of homeless individuals to transform their lives for the better.

 

 

Domestic Violence Intervention Program

The Domestic Violence Intervention Program‘s mission is to lead Latina victims of domestic violence to safety, empower them to live free of violence and reach and sustain their full potential. The DVIP pursues it’s mission by raising community awareness, engaging in activism, and providing culturally competent services.

 

 

Citymeals on Wheels

Citymeals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to homebound elderly neighbors by delivering weekend, holiday and emergency meals to frail aged New Yorkers.

 

 

World Central Kitchen

Chef José Andrés founded World Central Kitchen after the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, which has expanded globally into a group of chefs creating smart solutions for hunger and poverty. World Central Kitchen uses the expertise of its Chef Network to empower people to be part of the solution, with a focus on health, education, jobs, and social enterprise. The WCK’s contributions have affected communities in Brazil, Cambodia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Nicaragua, Zambia, and the United States!
